Feeling a little Italian

Post by sosman »

Well its not unusual to find the Sorro Kamado crankin' on a Sunday evening for Pizza, especially in the Winter.

Tonight's pizza was Sorro a la Habanero and some Garlic, Basil & Mushroom mongrel. Finished off with some traditional Italian sticky date pud and a cappuccino.

Well the funny thing is I have never had habaneros before. A guy at work gave me some and said the can vary a bit in heat.

The first bite was delicious - the flavour of these habernos is very good. Well that first one must have been a dud. My god they are friggin' hot.

I had to have some of the mushroom pizza to wash it down.

The salami I buy from the local deli is pretty hot stuff too. And the sausage, pretty fine too - if you look closely at the sausage you can see the chilli seeds.

Habaneros are not too persistent. Easily washed down with beer or milk, but stay away from things like plain water or lemon squash. I reckon beer with pizza and a cappuccino at the end is the perfect way to deal with La Habanera mouth. 8)

Well surprisingly no major case of "ring of fire". In fact I heated the rest up for lunch at work today and no visit to the emergency ward so far.

If you have it pimped up with a PID, you might as well go naked.

True, unfortunately the missus doesn't like it strong. I'll have a double shot when she's not around.

No pimping required - came with PID.
