Smokey Micks what did you Bake

Post by Smokey »

Well, I was never really a Pizza fan. Ive had a few gourmet ones from various places and some were good.
So I thought Id better get on the wagon and learn (Fast) how to make a pizza that didn't taste like cardboard.

Image
My first go on a new weber pizza stone
Leggos pizza base
diced Australian garlic in EVOO
red capsicum
Pepperoni
Kabana
Red onion
mushroom
Black olives
tommy tomatoes
Asparagus
Sharks (anchovies)
Crumbled goats cheese in ash
Bocconcini
Grated three pizza cheese
All on the Captains Pizza dough

Well, I burnt the base. But not too badly, was still ok

Then the next night;

Hawaiian for the kids, I didn't get a pic of the whole thing, wasn't quick enough.
This time the base was golden underneath and light and crispy

Then MY pizza;

This was similar to the first but less the goats cheese and asparagus.
However I did add a whole sliced fresh picked orange Habanero chili.

The base was bloody better then the night before so it does pay to keep the dough cool in the fridge for a day, then bring it out to warm up and proof.
I could get into this pizza caper :lol:

Yeah - that's a favourite here too. Make your own sausage as hot as you like, brown it in a pan then chuck it on top.
