Bought a frame from Bunnings made for a beer can chicken.
Chicken all prepared & dry rubbed, little smoke box set up, drank half the beer, chook into the Baby Q.......bloody lid won't close. Chook too tall for the Baby.
Ended up putting the poor bugger in a roasting dish & pouring the beer in the bottom.
Turned out teriffic, but still a bit disappointed....
I really wanted Beer Can Chicken.

Re: Beer Can Chook
Too be honest... It wont fit on a family Q either (just not high enough) unless you really push the chook down,,,,,

Re: Beer Can Chook
Had the same issue with beer can chicken went to put in the Weber Q won't fit had to light the Akorn up. One thing I find hard about beer can chicken. Is getting the can out especially when the liquid inside is so hot. My little tip is to put a metal skewer through the can to let the liquid out and then use the skewer to pull the can out. I don't put any beer in the can I fill it half with water and two sprigs of Rosemary in the can
