Coolabah (Aldi) Gas Smoker not staying lit

Post by smoking_steve » Tue Jan 29, 2019 5:31 pm

Hi everyone - I have just purchased a Coolabah (Aldi) Gas Smoker and set it up over Christmas. The first smoking attempt was successful.

Since this time we have not been able to get the smoker to stay alight. We turned the gas on and get ignition but as soon as we release the gas flow knob the flame goes out.

Has anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions as to how to fix?

Many thanks in advance

One
Make sure you have heaps of gas
two
make sure the Gauze mesh that is part of the gas flow setup is clear of anything Foriegn
three
You should have some sort of Probe/capillary tube that gets heated to allow or block of gas flow
It may be underneath and would be in the flame area
also follow that line and make sure its all secure.
other than that I cant help you except get in touch with Aldi, their warranty is usually very trouble free
Cheers
