Creative input required!

Post by 9800shane »

Well, I am 99% done on my BBQ restore and have hit some issues.

Here are some before and after pics:

The input I need is that I have removed the wok burner and have replaced it with a stone cutting board but not sure what to put here:

Also I have an issue with Grills. I want to go cast iron but the length I require is 770mm in total. Everything I find doesn't fit and I can't cut it because most grills have feet in the corners so it would no longer be level. Any ideas or anyone know of a grill which is even all the way so I can cut it down?

No idea on the grill, maybe a fabricator could make you one.
But!
Grab an outdoor temp gauge to fill that hole.
Cheers

A 60mm fryer would by my dream as well.

I could fry a couple of chips while cooking a steak, burn my hands on my magical mini fryer and wonder where I have come in life.....

What about a clock or timer into that old knob hole? Handy to check cooking times? Or even just for looks?

As for grill, why cast iron?

Maybe check the 'spare parts' available from other similar brands?

For the grill I'd be going stainless but for cast just cut to size and grind of the feet, easy job for a 100mm grinder
