I just noticed on Smo-king ovens website they now advertise their pellet prices

Wood Pellets Specially Prepared for Food Processing

Product Net Price per bag ex factory Silverwater

Hickory pellets 9kg bag

$35.00 - 1 bag
$26.00 - 10 bags +
$17.30 - Pallet (45 bags) Of a single grade

All + GST.

I would assume these are the cookshack pellets?

If they are cookshak, they are quite a good pellet. Very long burn time in my GMG and one of the best hickory flavours I ve used so far.

Lucky so many pellet users are in Melbourne, You can do a group buy.
Do check out the GMG pellets as they are also quite good and value.
Only one I haven't used is bbq delight fuel pellets but that will change next week. So looking forward to that.
My next order will be GMG fruit wood pellets, they kick a#^%

I've picked up a bag of Green Mountain pellets off BBQ Factory Taren point to try out for my state of origin cook up tomorrow, same price as quoted by Chris in other thread $45 for a bag, 12.7kg mind you versus 9.072 of the others. they had 4 bags in stock of each type. so can confirm these guys keep stock should you be in need.

Hi Edgy, We also have Black Walnut included in our next container about to leave the US, which has not previously been available in Australia before.

Dave,

I look forward to testing those out as well as mesquite when you get it... the only problem with mesquite is that its phenomenal with beef but doesn't really work as well with other meats particularly white meats..

Oak, cherry and hickory are quite good I've found in terms of being universal.

I'd imagine the black walnut burns hot so would be interested on the direct grilling results!

Good point maybe I should try a single bag before investing in half a pallet :D
