I like the Orangey colour or is that supposed to be a red?

They looks like a nice peice of kit but the Komado Joe has always been a premium priced cooker, I wonder what these ones will retail for?

I know they are a good BBQ but I have to keep asking myself, would I, could I replace my Kettle with one?

I had another good look at the acorn today...for the money, they seem a nice bit of kit and good value.

Cheers

The Weber Kettle is a great charcoal Q.

Having lots of Q's is lots of fun but it isn't necessary to have fun BBQ'ing.

Should I buy a Kamado It is similar question should I buy and offset, WFO etc? It depends on what you want.

Kamados are expensive and not suited to everyone's tastes because of the cost. Saying that though an Akorn is a similar price to a new mid range Weber Kettle.

Akorns are very good value but people who have been using a Kettle need to think quite differently when they start to use a Kamado. Some people never real feel comfortable moving from a Kettle to a Kamado. Others love the way a Kamado works and you find their Kettle at the next kerbside clean-up.

I have a few Kamados, Weber Kettle etc and can each has it merits.

If I start out again would I buy a Kettle? Yes. Would I buy another Kamado? Yes. But that is because I like the way they both cook differently. I even still use my four burner gasser when I could have upgraded to a Weber Q or Ziggy. The 4 burner has it's downsides but quite a few upsides. It works for me.

Wow. Certainly looks like they have some awesome features coming. The petal box, counterweight lid and the gasket seem cool.
