Webber kettle repairs

Post by pelez80 »

Hey guys

Have a bit of a issue with my weber kettle. The bottom rack keeps coming off the leg and it doesn't stay in anymore after moving house.

Anyone have any idea how to keep it in place?

Do you mean the charcoal grate? If so, I bent mine ever so gently up with a pair of pliers to make them protrude into the centre further.

Not so much the grate but the bottom rack which joins at the bottom wheels. I was thinking of using some pliers to bend it even more but was hoping there was another solution.

I must say that I've never heard of that problem before, mainly with the legs coming out of the mounting sockets as they're only a press fit.
What about a cable tie or a wire tie between the rack and the leg?
