Not Sure If this is a Good or Bad Idea

Aldi have these rack edge protectors for ovens here at the moment
Good for up to 250c,
My history of drinking and cooking lead to some interesting times.
These silicon strips are split like your Typical cable tidy.
Perfect to assist with keeping made Probe cables away from Direct heat.
Please note I said Assist.
They are soft and pliable like most silicon bakewear
$3.99 is a cheap backup.

The idea seems good to me.

As rated to 250 C they'll be suitable for electric ovens, etc. I run my woodfired oven much hotter than that, so I think it depends on the device it's used on. I've never measured temperatures on grills TBH...
