Maverick ET736

Post by onnzo »

Hi all,
I just bought my first Kamado (the Dragon from BBQ's Galore) on the weekend and did some pork ribs low and slow. It took me a while to get the temps right and balanced but I got there. When I did, I was paranoid it was fluctuating meaning a walk out the back yeard evey 5-10 minutes!

So I was tossing up between a Maverick Et735 or an iGgrill 2, both of these use bluetooth.

I was having a look at the Maverick website this morning and it appears a ET736 using wifi is about to be released in the US (in Spetember). I think I might wait for this. Are there any supplier here in Oz that have the lowdown on when this will come out and be avaliable here?

I like the idea of wifi as I might be out and about and instead of asking the wifey to check the temps - I can look it up where ever I am on my phone.

Looking forward to learning more about this art!

Yep, we will carry the ET736 when it is released.
I do all the Maverick warranty service here in Australia and we carry the spare probes.

Cheers

We don't have a date from Maverick yet, nor are any of the specs or price available yet.

I'll let you know when they let me know.

Cheers

I'd be keen to see the specs on this one also. I was worried about the range of the 735 on blue tooth so I've held off. Tried to find a bit more info on it but there isn't much around.
I saw that it might only support one probe, hope that isn't the case!

I hold off buying ET 735 when I saw this here...
Reading the specs on the website, it doesn't seem made for iPhones/iPads?
Only iDevices (iGrills etc)? and Androids.

I really like the waterproof probes so I'm sticking to Mavericks at the moment.

That's what I thought...but iDevices is an existing company that sells iGrill, iGrill2, iShowers etc! they don't make or sell iPads and iPhones :D
We pride ourselves on having a fully in-house team of engineers, designers, marketers and product specialists. Each department works tirelessly to develop top-quality products. The iDevices family also carries a unique mix of personalities, from BBQ addicts to travelers and brewing enthusiasts, there's never a dull moment. We all have a dedication for evolving technology and a serious relationship with our smartphone.

Maverick website now shows an early 2016 release!

Don't know if I can wait 3+ months. It's annoying going out to check it all the time!
