Thanks Mixin thats great info.

I wasn't aware the weber legs with the wheels came off. I figured just the third leg was able to be removed. With all the legs off it will indeed fit in easy. :D

Is there any trick to removing the legs with the wheels or just yank em out?

Give them a bit of a twist & a gentle wiggle to get them out. Don't rock them too far, or they'll be loose when you refit them.

I take a small block of 4x2, and some workshop gloves with the rubber lining on the fingers & palm, but anything grippy will suffice.
The gloves help you grip the legs to loosen them.
The block of 4x2 is if the 2 legs with the axle are stubborn - you can tap on the axle (part of the triangle frame) to try to crack them loose.

And now there are two :D

Collected this little beauty today. Set up with a gas kit and has the coal trays.

Going to give it a run tonight. I've removed the gas kit and given it a clean up ready for the heat beads.

:)

And a green one !?!

A few members are gong to be "green" with envy :)

I sort of understand those gas kits for fire ban days but honestly, if it's that hot there are other ways to eat - does it fit the smaller BBQ if you really need to ? I know absolutely nothing about them :)

Cheers

I don't think it fits the smaller one, it took up most of the bottom of the 57cm. I gave it a clean and put it back in its box.

I have a kettle set up with the gas kit in it, and other couple for charcoal.
On fire ban days the gas kit works well with the roti ring and a chook on it. I've even snuck a bit of hickory onto the grille above the burner.

Knight76 - you'll need to remove the little clip off the top vent too (it's a safety thing included with the gas kit).

Thanks Ill chuck in in the box. I will probably end up selling the gas kit anyhow, if I am going to cook with gas, I may as well just turn on my gasser.
