I just bought a Weber Spirit e210 and tried to cooking with a fry pan on it to heat some stew. Wouldn't heat up fast enough Unless I closed the hood , but I avoided doing that because the handle might not have taken it.
If I got a cast iron pot would that do the trick ?
Is there any advantage of the Weber Frypan / casserole dish be a normal cast iron set?

Re: Weber Q Fry Pan
A mate of mine swears by using cast iron pots (they also figure its less cleaing (not so sure).
I havent used the weber fry pan but I guess by disconnecting the handle it would be safe "under" the hood.
Happy BBQ-ing, Paul
