Thermopop

Yair . . . anyone know where I can buy one of these in Australia? . . . it's difficult to justify a Thermopen at this stage of my career

Don't skimp on quality. It's not hard to justify a thermopen or maverick pt100 if you want good results over many years. I was an advocate for cheaper versions for while.....until. One packed up and I bought the maverick. Never looked back.

Its put out by the same company but I dont know if they are made in the UK like the pen is.
It will do the job, just slower.
Fast read means less time with lid up, Easy to read a turning spit (Think about it) and less time with your hand in the hot zone and checking steak when seconds count.
Other wise, Any temp reader is better than none.
Id go direct if you want one of those "Pops"

That's a Thermoworks product, so made in China for the US company.

Thermapen is made by ETI in the UK.

For that kind of money you'd be better with a kitchen shop or ebay for the same quality!

Try this one for $8:

or this for $24:

Neither are as good as a Thermapen or Maverick PT100, but will get you by for a minute.

No its a ETI UK Product and is available on there UK website for purchase. We had some good feedback about this thermometer. Its for less then half the price of thermapen with mostly the same features with 360 degree rotation and backlight.

If anyone wants to buy ThermoPop they are available with us here in Sydney in 3 colours.
