i like to snake around the very edge of my GA for long cooks, so no beads in under the meat, I find it cooks to direct like that, did a 6 hour lamb like that, And yes the lid was raised about 3 cm due to the meat being so big.

Still came out a treat.

I just received a WGA from the missus, (anniversary present)

this method for snaking in the WGA is awesome!! will be trying it myself asap.. (need a small enough lamb or pork shoulder!)
