Travel BBQ
Travel BBQ
G'day
I've got a Baby Q which is about 4 years old which has been OK.
I've taken everywhere with me and used it on average about 5 days a week.
The last trip was a bit much for the Q. I travel off road a bit and it didn't like the corrugated dirt roads.
The burner now flops around, it won't light with the push button and the grill is rusting from living near the ocean for 2 years.
Can anyone recommend a similar type of BBQ that would be a bit more robust?
I need one that works off gas.
Thanks

Re: Travel BBQ
There is a marine one that's acts like a baby Q ,the name escapes me, solid and stainless
I remember thinking I would have preferred one over my baby Q in our Campervan, was robust etc. and around the $300 mark.
Look up your local Marine centre

If trees screamed when we cut them down, We wouldn't. If they screamed all the time we would.

Marine BBQs Australia. BBQs are made in Australia at Medowie - Newcastle
Owner's name is Andy McGowan. They export around the world. They also make SS gas bottles with Australian AGA approval.

Re: Travel BBQ
I had a look at a Z&B which was sitting next to a Weber Q.
I know the marine one looks the goods, but the Z&B also looked pretty good.
Too many choices

Maybe you could look at how your stash it in your vehical ? Using foam or something? Just a thought.
Ive seen what corrigations can do to a caravan let alone a small bbq on board. You might just be stuck wth new cheapies often
