Come on, show us your WGA grilling

WGA – Weber Go-Anywhere are bloody neat portable grills & I reckon they are hugely under-rated

If you have got one, show us what you have cooked on them

For starters, I did lamb ribs, around 800g I think
A bit of oil sprayed on, so the salt/pepper would stick to the meat
Small handful of soaked mesquite/hickory chips in a stainless tray
Pit probe in, stabilized at 135ish temp
1hrs on the grill, then wrapped in foil for another hour, then out of the foil, back on the grill for a bit of a flare up for a minute or so, rest 10mins

Ready to wrap in foil

Result, slightly under cooked, 2 thirds was almost fall off the bone, rest, not quite, was juicy yay

Hello,

This is my very first post, so feeling nervous...

I recently brought a Weber Go Anywhere (after weeks of trolling the internet for a small BBQ to meet my needs), and I totally agree with you, they are hugely underrated! I love mine. I'd use it everyday if I could, but I'm starting to annoy the neighbors with the smoke.

So far I've done chicken drumbsticks, butterflied chicken, T-Bome steaks. The T-Bones where my most successful.

Absolutely love it!!

Does anyone know if there are mini chimneys sold anywhere in Australia? I've seen the Weber Mini Chimneys (7447) on Youtube and Ebay, but so far I can't find a retailer for them in Australia. I'm currently using a Chimney from Bunnings which is huge when compared to the WGA.

Try giving Weber a call. Maybe one of their specialist store may carry it or get it in for you as they carry a wider range than a general bbq store. Also you can buy things direct from Weber.

Made my own mini chimney years ago. Ideal for the GA.

Clever idea mate

The mini chimney is available on request from specialist weber stockists. It has to be ordered in for you
Mine fits within my WGA, along with charcoal

Sometimes people dump an old bbq on the side of the road. I took out the cast iron grill from an abandoned bbq, cut it down to size at work... nice to have those grill marks on what you cook
I still use the supplied wire rack for much longer cooks

Lamb ribs on the WGA. Nothing fancy, a bit of rubbed oil all around, salt & pepper

Pit probe in, stablized temp around 125ish, then on the grill with a small steel tray with soaked wood chips

1hr 15 @ 130C then double wrapped in foil, cooked for a further 45 mins
Rest 20mins

Came out alright, the ends were slightly chewy, the rest, almost fall off the bone... probably another 10-15mins longer on the grill would been the desired result. Still bloody good

Give em a try
