Bought charcoal?

Hi guys, just wondering what's a good brand to use that doesn't burn to ash within 2 hrs, got some bricketts and They recon that they should burn for 8 to 12 hrs? Nubie here so please be gentle lol. Cheers woody.

Yeah the heat beads brand is good, the red bag lasts for hours. They easily last me 8 hours when I'm doing a brisket. Pretty cheap from supermarkets and bunnings.

Don't use the Heatbeads 'easylight' in the yellow bag for low and slow cooking, you're food will taste like kero.
There's methods that you can use to extend your cooking time, do a search for 'the snake' or 'minion method'.

Heat beads every day of the week (red bag), and as the others have said various set up methods used if slow cooking.
Or for normal cooking or spit roasting etc I like to use gidgee hardwood charcoal as I find I get a solid 4 hours out of a burn
