Looking for a Charcoal BBQ

Post by Baldives »

We currently have a gas bbq, a Garth Pizza Oven, a Weber Kettle and a little charcoal grill (https://www.bunnings.com.au/jumbuck-por ... r_p0064644)

Out of all of the products we mainly use the little charcoal grill the most (maybe 2-3 a week) – we hardly use anything else. We love the smoky flame grilled taste to our meats. We cook fast on high temp, rarely low and slow.

So.… looking around, have seen the Buschbeck online and they look great – Has anyone seen one of these in person ? I am wanting to redo our outdoor area / maximise space in a small alfresco area etc and found this product to be quite interesting and it looks great. https://www.buschbeck.com.au/

The other option was the Everdure Hub which also caught my eye.
Or
This one http://www.barbacowa.com.au/product-fre ... anding.php
This one I also like but I don't like the pull down front as I am shorter it may get in my way.

I am going to get rid of my big gas bbq, might just get a cheaper smaller one for the odd occasion we need to cook something really fast.

As anyone else seen any other options that could be worth a look ?

It looks like you a bit of style.

Heston 4K

Kamado Joe

You can get them built into tables etc.

Akorn

Bang per buck these are very versatile and cook great food.

I had an Everdure Echurrasco. It was the HUB style before a celebrity chef got involved. They are good but very slow and don't give you much cook time if you follow their instructions,(you cant adjust the grill height or charcoal height) it was charcoal with Gas ignition.

If you are looking at the hub or Heston models maybe check the reviews, the electric ignition ones seem to be having or had an issue that is tripping peoples safety switches. Can link you some reviews if you need.

Cheers

Yes - have seen this one and I think it actually ticks all the boxes - off to Bunnings on the weekend. It has the hood for slower cooking (roasts) which the Heston Hub doesn't have. And its $800 cheaper !

Looks like a winner to me.
