Hi guys, got my hands on some snow gum. Would it be any good for smoking in my ProQ 20?

Sounds like one of many varieties of Eucalyptus trees, so would be a hardwood.
I guess you could try a couple of fist sized chunks with some cheaper end meat and see how it goes for taste.
As with all wood, you only needs a small stream coming out the top vent and not huge white plumes of smoke gushing out creating a creosote all over your food.
Cheers

Smells good as fire wood. Cooking some Denver ribs for dinner might just go for it!Davo wrote:Sounds like one of many varieties of Eucalyptus trees, so would be a hardwood.
