It seems that Big Green Egg will return to Australia in 2017.
Some of the ABBQ members may remember when BBQG used to sell them.
Good news for the Australian market to have this premium Kamado manufacturer back in Oz.

BGE has a massive range from 10" grill to a massive 29" grill.
BGE owners like to boast that they run the Q's at 1000F
Typically if you look at a BGE and compare it to a cheap copy people notice that the BGE has:
* Better glazing
* Higher top temp limits
* Better hinges (important as the lid is very heavy)
* Better ceramics
* Better sealing
* Many more accessories
* Wide range of models
* Better customer service
* Still in business
The average person in a blind comparison food tasting test, with all things being equal though would probably find little difference between a cheap Kamado and a BGE.
It is a common question, are the name brand Kamado such as BGE better than a cheap clone? Is the extra cost worth it? It comes down if you think the extra dollars you pay is worth it.
If you look at the US it seems many people do. Conversely many people are also happy with cheaper versions such as the Chargriller Akorn which in Australia we can buy at Bunnings.

Nice to see them back. You'd have to think that they'd be exxy though with the 'Call for pricing' notation. As the old saying goes, 'If you have ask how much it is, you can't afford it."

I think BGE don't let their dealers advertise price on the internet.

This is something that might appear in your local BBQ comp or BGE outlets across Australia.
