How did you go with drilling through the enamel to fit the slide-aside?

I want to do this to one of mine (I have a trashed M/T donor with a rusted off leg socket)

I have contemplated it, but i'm worried that a small chip out of the enamel may become a large chip all too easily.
Weber Kettle Fanatic....
Main go-to: Blue 57cm OTG
Fire restriction option: Black 57cm M/T butchered with a Weber gas conversion.
GMG DC for the lazy smoky cooks.
Weeknight special: Q200
Problem? What problem?

Last time I did that I taped both sides with masking tape and used a special bit for ceramic tiles.

Cheers
Chris

Yep that's a good idea Chris, I just started with a small bit for pilot hole and took it easy.
Didn't chip at all.

Thanks guys. I might have a few practice runs on the stuffed bowl from the donor.
