Help with pork taco filling!

Post by Urban Pit Master » Fri Mar 06, 2015 6:15 pm

Hi all, I have to make a pork taco filling tomorrow and I've only got about 4-5 hours to work with.... I really could use some help from the BBQ community!
I was thinking along the lines of a smoked pork shoulder, but the time limit rules out pulled pork I would think. I was thinking of just roasting on the weber indirect with some form of rub, choppong it up small and then using the rub and maybe some Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet & Spicy to mix through and make it more 'wet'.

Any suggestions or idea's guys?

Do Pork Belly...that'll pull in 4-5 hours and stay moist!

You could maybe get away with a pork scotch/neck at slightly higher temp and foil it. As long as you have a temp probe so it doesn't go too far.

Pulled Pork tacos are one of my favourite meals!

Turned out great guys, smoked for 3 hours then foiled and another 2 in the weber.
Thanks for all the help!
