My Fornetto Bullet Smoker is reaching its last legs after many years of service, time to replace.
I also own a gas three burner and a high quality offset. The wife wants me to look at a hibachi. I am limited to three devices, if i go above three that triggers buying a pizza oven (high end negotiations), and I do not want a pizza oven ......
The bullet smokers are highly efficient from a fuel point of view, also you can fire up and check every now and again. With my large offset you do have to work with it through out the smoke.
So do I go replacement bullet or hibachi ? Thoughts ???
Bullet Smoker Replacement or go Hibachi ???

Re: Bullet Smoker Replacement or go Hibachi ???
A Bullet smoker and a Hibachi do 2 totally different things.
However there is a way you have both and kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
A Pro-Q Bullet smoker can be broken down into sections so you can fit the lid perfectly on top of the base or just use the cooking grate on the base like a little portable grill which is what a Hibachi really is.
The Hibachi or shishirin is what the Japanese use for grilling small morsells of meat, fish or vegetables while sitting around the grill and taking their peices off and dipping into sauce and eat straight away. It's a great way to BBQ.
