Clyde North isn't too far from you.

havent used them yet but on my List.
how do you want to use the wood.IE type of cooker, splits or Lump.
I use a lot of Stringy Bark/Mesmate local to you in my offset's.

From what ive learnt a bit if both splits and lump are good. Im looking to pick up wood similar profile to oak, currently also speaking with a local or orchard to maybe get some variety sweeter woods.

Where can I pick some up you reckon close to here

Whats it used with, hows does it burn

Cherrs mate
Ill take yoy up on your offer mate to learn how to insulate my doors and whether firebricks are a thought in the firebox.

Also how you clean your smoker too

Cheers

Lets see if yours leaks first.
I get my mesmate?stringy bark from near Neerim south, you would need to split it.to thin splits.
Not ideal for smoking wood ,but perfect for getting a coal base
Where do you travel
My favorite smoke generators are Banksia Pods
I usually grab them from around Inverlock and the Island
Maybe some in Drouin down near the skate park
Use the pods with charcoal and beads, awesome beach flavour

I must thank the Urbangriller for the Pods Idea

Hey guys, this 'sealing doors' thing you mentioned in here and the other thread...

How about doing a seperate thread with pics and commentary etc. To help others too? Build content on here ... ???

You mention testing if it leaks. Maybe start with how to test it? What the issue are etc.

I have NFI but I'm sure others would be interested, if not now, in the future.

I'll get back to you soon on this with some pictures

BTW, longworry Mill has offcuts cheap per trailor load, $30. will need seasoning for at least 6 months.
perfect size to supplement your offset
