Hi Members,
Just seen on the TV news where a chap accidently swallowed a bit of a metal BBQ brush hair which was on his grill and stuck to his steak and ate the steak, it lodged in his throat.
He was very lucky as if it got down to the organs, it could've been dangerous.
So just a reminder to you all, if you use a wire brush for cleaning your grill, just check closely to see if there's any brush hairs that have come loose.
I have at times found loose metal brush hairs on my grill when using one of the cheaper wire brushes and they can be a bit hard to see on the grill.
Happy New Year and Happy BBQing.....minus wire hairs

Have a look at this style - one piece of wire rather then multiple bristles..

Re: Warning: BBQ Brushes
Only once in a while f&f
Actually everytime I use my Q320, I heat it up real good to burn the previous crap off and give it a good brushing with a weber triangle head brush, it got a short handled one as well as the long handle one but I find the shorter handle is more rigid and give a better clean...the long handle brush flexes too much so I use that one of the kettle.
But yeah I always brush the grill before using.....have never had an issue with bristles although had seen a few come off non- Weber brushes.....
Both my Webers get a 6 Monthly Gernie shower.

Actually it does have bristles. I've got 1. Good brush though.Unzippy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 2:20 pm Have a look at this style - one piece of wire rather then multiple bristles..
