Sorry Michael, I removed your link to that other forum as UG and the others that run it arn't welcome here.....and I wouldn't buy anything from UG if he was the last vendor on Earth.
I clicked on the link, I got "your account has been banned...F...wit" so the feeling is mutual as far as I'm concerned and want nothing to do with that mob of unscrupulous morons.

They can shove that in their fire and smoke it!!

These work well in a Alfoil tray or just on theBBQ grill
You can get them from China ,but I'm not sure if they are stainless
Mine came from Masters originally.
Roast a chook like no other, very happy with them.

Titch...what a shame Masters were closed down, they actually had some good alternative BBQ stuff in there.

Even Bunnings is getting much better with BBQ related and charcoal cooking stuff.

There are a few variations of chicken sitters, whilst i don't usually cook chicken this way, I'd like to get one of the Weber ones that have the little fluid cup built-in.

It's not the cheapest around for sure.....it looks good quality though and the veggies goes around the base whilst being basted by the juices.

Cheers guys, went to bunnings today, and yes they have heaps of stuff now. Used my $4 beer can holder with a can of water with rosemary in it. Cooked in the akorn, and used a foil hood. Came out great. Still find the can is a pain to remove. Might be best to tack a stainless pipe to the can holder. Not best photos but will do. Tomorrow off work, so tonight i have 4 oldies but goodie movies to watch, a 2L port and a stack of beers. And cheesecake.ImageImageImage

Davo, that looks and sounds cool. Have you tried it? $70 is a bit rich. But seems good

Nah not yet.....i'd like the get one but i just don't usually do chicken this way and the Weber kettle lid a bit low for stand up chicken unless it's a real small chook.
Yes it's a bit pricey.....but Weber quality.....so you've got to ask yourself if it's worth it...but i do like the design of this so I'd say yes...I'd probably go with this.

Cheers

no problems Davo.

That's just disgraceful - they're putting personalities above what
is supposed to be beneficial to the wider BBQ community, regardless
of which forum.

They can ban me as well - I'll never know - I've deleted the bookmark
