Hi Muppet

Not for Human Consumption would in this case be " ya don't eat 'em"

I don't think the pellets would be very nutritional....nor tasty but the flavour would be good when they are burnt.

I think the North Coast pellets would be good to mix in with the more dearer imported pellets to make the dearer pellets last longer....bit like a filler per se.

Cheers

That means that humans should not eat the pellets. Sounds like you have lawyers in OZ just like us!

The bloke that owns the sawmill / Pellet manufacturing plant uses them on his own home made pellet cooker :)
Least thats what he told me.
If trees screamed when we cut them down, We wouldn't. If they screamed all the time we would.

The pellets are made in Woodburn which is a town about 20kms South of Ballina on the North Coast NSW and the entire North coast from Kyogle, Casino, Lismore and the Hinterlands of Murwillumbah have been hardwood timber regions since the days of the bullock teams of mid to late 1800's where the Bullock teams used to drag the timber down to Lawrence on the Clarence River to be sent to all parts of the world by boat.

On the North coast from Coffs harbour to the QLD Border there's a lot of sawmills that would have normally burnt or buried the sawdust....yes it could be a bit of mixed timber but it'd be all hardwood as the North Coast is not really pine wood territory.

Hoping that now the Woodpellet scene is taking off in Australia that there'll be more Australian Pellet makers come aboard and make pellets from our native woods.

Hey mate, I grab one of these bags just to give them a shot, as I've read others have used them too. I'd only use them for high heat stuff like grilling or baking and pizzas, as the smoke can be quite strong at lower temps, and not the nicest flavor. Used them for pizza and they worked a treat.
