We took this up with the local fireys, n they said a bbq in your yard, within 20mtrs of a dwelling with a pressurised water source (hose) and in permanent attendance whilst lit, was ok in a fireban. Which realistically is reasonable.

They said the ban on bbq was to stop campers going into the bush n sparking up an open flame bbq.

This was just our experience locally, don't take as gospel in your area.

If trees screamed when we cut them down, We wouldn't. If they screamed all the time we would.
