Re: Ally's wedding plans
thanks blokes.
Ally's quite chuffed with the whole deal..............she was a little worried that i might bib & brace the ceremony.
and the recovery on sunday is gunna be the TRAEGERS day.....to hit everyone with pellet grilled steaks and bangers.
Mick, i have not had a chat with the place where Glen scored a room. but i think he was very lucky to score that, will try today for you.
Shayne, i will check a room for you as well, and the herb supply is holding strong. although the sage had a fight with the frost this winter...
if ya get here on friday, the Tav is gunna rock,
kevin

Re: Ally's wedding plans
Talking dogs, I was riding my bike home from work on Sat, I am on the M4 around Eastern Creek, when I see a Honda Goldwing in my rear vision mirror approaching from behind.
The bike passes, and I has shocked to see a dog sitting on the back seat as pillion
Now, this was a big dog, a Boxer to be exact. What was so funny about this, the dog was wearing a pair of sunnies, ears flapping in the wind, as they pass me at 110kms/hour

I wonder if that was his Mrs
When I was young n cheeky and used to drive around town and if we see a middle age bloke with a dog in the front pass seat, we'd call out something like " geez mate...don't fancy yours"
Cheers

Re: Ally's wedding plans
just an update on catering plans for Ally's day...................
the menu has been set and changed so many times, that i have just gone..............like......... trust me will ya..........
we were gunna do the whole hog as you have read. then the girlies got frightened, and changed the menu. Nick ( Ally's fiance ) has a cousin in nusouth who unfortunately is getting married on the same day, so, a lot of his people have opted for that one instead, being as how it is closer for them to travel.
still looking at a possible 80 or so.
this is the new menu, which will probably be changed again.
i have ordered 30kgs of american style ribs......a leg of pork .......doing 2 whole rumps ( with a good fat cap on it ), 30kgs of chicken pieces, for the main.
potato bombs and corn on the cob lots of home made sauces and
2 whole salmon smoked the day before and just the 1 boned out leg of ham and maybe pastrami, for horse duvas.
the salads and other food food is going to be done by ladies in the area,
the wedding cake is being done by one of Nick's rellies,
so, do you think i should add something else..??..
was gunna do some chuck, but had a demo run last weekend and was disappointed, so we are going with the rump.
