Salt and Pepper Squid

Post by luv2cook »

Hey All,

Just thought I'd share a very simple recipe I use.

500g Squid Tubes (try and buy locally caught if possible)
Flour
Salt
Pepper
Lemon Juice
Canola Oil Spay

Cut the squid up as if making calamari rings. Make the rings 1cm wide. Then cuts the rings to give you a nice long, flat piece of squid. In a medium sized freezer bag, put a handful of flour and salt and pepper to taste. Place your squid into the bag and shake until the squid has a nice coating on. Thread the squid onto your skewers. Spray oil your BBQ. Preheat your BBQ for a few minutes. Cook on medium heat occasionally drizzling with lemon juice, until golden brown. Grab your favourite beverage and ENJOY!!
