WA woods for smoking

Post by Maverickcalais »

Hey all I'm reasonably new to smoking. I've got myself a offset barrel smoker/ grill and I've had some success smoking with hickory chips. My next goal is to use local woods. I live in the south west of WA and so I'm chasing any recommendations for good timber. I can cut my own and I have the space to dry large amounts. Any help appreciated. Thanks
