Re: Pro Smoke Dragon Kamado only $349
I think i'd be getting divorced if i get any new BBQs now, actually i'm thinking of shrinking my grill family. It is a bargain though, I've had a look at these before. Bunnings have stepped up considerably over the years with their BBQ offerings, it sounds like the organisation have buyers that unde...

Re: Wood only fueled kettle or other Q
Or something like this perhaps....it's not an offset but a pure charcoal or wood BBQ/Smoker. https://www.bunnings.com.au/char-griller-deluxe-charcoal-bbq_p3180388 You could use wood/charcoal or briquettes or combo in the cooking chamber. You can place the fire up one end and place the meat on the ot...

G'day & welcome Ryan, It seems you've stumbled on this forum during a search and some time ago would've been a great place to hang out but pretty much nobody is here anymore, this place is a ghost town and whilst i keep an eye on it, I've pretty much given up trying to keep it buzzing. But.........

Re: Bullet Smoker Replacement or go Hibachi ???
A Bullet smoker and a Hibachi do 2 totally different things. However there is a way you have both and kill 2 birds with 1 stone. A Pro-Q Bullet smoker can be broken down into sections so you can fit the lid perfectly on top of the base or just use the cooking grate on the base like a little portable...

Re: Habachi grill height
Hi and welcome Cambo, A hibachi is traditionally a ceramic type table grill originally from Japan and is used to grill hot and fast like Yaki-niku (grilled beef, pork and vegetable pieces quickly and evenly over charcoal. They are also used to grill chicken skewers called Yaki-tori. Most hibachi typ...

Re: Cant get my temp up
They are similar to the bullet shaped smokers like the WSM and Pro-Q so i'll go by my experience with WSM. So first of all, how are you measuring the temps? by lid temp gauge or by a probe temp meter? I Didn't have a temp gauge in the lid of my WSM so i had to use one out of my Weber performer and a...

Re: Dry Age Rump Steakj
HI and welcome Timbo, Dry aging steaks is not something I've ever practiced and is a bit of a delicate process. It's obvious by leaving it for as long as you did, the meat has rotted and/or has grown a mould which can make it smell like a mouldy cheese and it's not really safe to eat. I don't think ...

Re: Its Quiet on this Board
Could possibly be, I've been admin here since I joined in 2008 along with Captain Cook when we were co-ersed from the Weber Bullet Bulletin Board by Paulr as he had a WSM and was a member there too and I eventually bought the WSM from him as he bought a Komodo Komado. Just to think it took one bloke...

Certainly feeling it
Maybe for Australian BBQ forums but not forums in General, there's quite many other forums that have been going longer than this one. Probably with a lot more recent input.

Re: 10 years ago
Yeah the Photos can only be no more than 256kb and when we were able to do this, it was too late for this forum, many had moved on but we tried to save having to use Tapatalk (is that still around?) and a replacement for Photobucket which as you know, took away all the pics of the forum members and ...
