Re: Kamado Joe v Smokeking differences?

Is there really a difference or is just a big price mark-up by BBQ galore this with the exception of the BigSteelKeg and Primo kamados all the rest are very minor in my opinion. Re: Feeding 6 people with a 5hr cooking window?

about the only cut of pork that you could do pulled in that time "may" be a pork neck (scotch) as with most low and slow bbq i give myself an extra 2 hours just in case. if you wish to have pulled pork done then a pressure cooker or slow cooker may be your only possibility. I would instead...

Re: Building a Gravity Fed Smoker

thats the plan. i wouldnt expect a heavyish water sealed lid to be blown off, the exhaust and air intake openings are fairly big and any combustible fuel should theoretically burn off relatively quickly in the combustion chamber. i went against the idea of water due to having to constantly top it up...

I love wangs design where the fuel box has a water seal to airtight it. I considered using that in my design but due to being mild steel it wouldn't have worked.

There are gravity fed rocket stoves, it uses the same principal. Also the stumps and other gravity feds don't use/need a fan.
There is a pellet be smoking Jim bought that uses gravity fed pellets instead of auger driven that has many of the same design principals
