Looking at getting one of these weber rotisseries. Can you cook a normal weber roast with the ring still attached. Or it needs to be taken off and stored somewhere? Cheers

I only do my slow cooks on mondays. My day off. 6am till 1pm etc. Dont know how the Kamado Joe boys cook every night for 5 hours! Coles sells pre cooked mr beaks bbq ribs, sometimes reduced by 50%. Even the heat beads green bag charcoal, I find do not get as hot,do not last as long. I cooked a pork forequarter roast on Saturday night in the Weber. Green bag mate, first time using them. Woolies $7. Problem is the weber oe3rfirmer and Q, are in the patio area so smike hangs, where the Akorn lives outside and smoke is no issue. Next time i use green bag i will close the doors, simple

No smoke taste, but first 15 minutes the verandah was smelling of fumes. Lucky the wife was not home, will go back to regular heat beads, or maybe use a chimney down the back yard.
