Rotisserie Roasted Spiral Cut Pineapple

This is a nice little dessert that comes out well if done on a rotisserie. Very easy to do and is a very tasty dessert treat. This cook was done on my Cobb grill. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/OldDave/Cobb%20Grill/DSC03881.jpg This is my trimmed up and rotisserie mounted pineapple. http://i...

Non-Traditional Thanksgiving Meal

With just the two of us for Thanksgiving this year, and a freezer full of cooked turkey, we decided to do something a little different this year for our holiday meal. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/OldDave/Cobb%20Grill/DSC03869.jpg I started with the dessert and made up a dish of the four in...

Re: Information on older BGE "R" model? Compatible accessori

Some of the older model Eggs are not made of ceramic and won't stand the real high temps. I do believe some of the later model parts will fit them.

Re: Whole Beef Tenderloin / Filet Mignon

There are just the two of us so I do just cook the two filets or the one package at a time. That steak along with the whole ribeye loins I cut up will last us all winter.

Whole Beef Tenderloin / Filet Mignon

One of the several items we try to keep in the freezer at all times are the whole Beef Tenderloin Steak Filets and the Whole Ribeye Loin Steaks. Have been out of the tenderloin for a few months waiting for it to come on sale and it finally did this week. Kroger normally sells it for about $13.99 or ...

Re: Cobb Grill

Yes, the Grill Grate Company does make a set for the Cobb Grill. Kinda hard to find on their web site without doing a search. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/OldDave/Cobb%20Grill/DSC03547.jpg The Cobb with the Grill Grates will do a fine job with a steak at about 600 degrees. http://img.photo...

I was wondering if many of you down under folks cook on a Cobb Grill? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/OldDave/Cobb%20Grill/DSC03550.jpg They do a pretty good job with grilling. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/OldDave/Cobb%20Grill/DSC03526.jpg I have also set mine up for rotisserie cook...

GMG Daniel Boone Modifications

I haven't posted over here in a while and I now see that you folks are using the Green Mountain Grills and one of your members was asking about my mods so here they are. Sure hope that someone can use some of this information. As an owner of a couple of different pellet grills and a long time user o...

Re: Primo Oval Jr vs Standard Kamado and others

You do not need anything special for a heat deflector in a round ceramic cooker. No plate sitter, no pizza stone, no heavy metal plate period. A two dollar pie pan will work fine if it is placed low in the cooker. Please read this and learn a wonderful method that works fine. http://olddavespo-farm....
