Nope but I have 4 sitting here waiting for me to come up with a plan. Turned 1 other into a fire pit by cutting it in half lengthways and then cutting the ends of and welding them together. That exercise taught me that whilst they look big, they actually don't have lots of useable room when it comes...

Be careful putting garlic in stuff like this if you want to store it for longer than a couple months. Garlic is a well known botulism carrier and you have to pressure seal it, not just boil your jars, for it to be safe.

How do you go with Parmesan cheese or Vegemite ? Parmesan, with 1200mg per 100 grams, is the substance with more free glutamate in it than any other natural foodstuff on the planet. Marmite, with 1750mg per 100g, has more glutamate in it than any other manufactured product on the planet - except a ...

Re: pls help in selection

with GMG there is $250 price difference between Wi-fi and non Wi-fi version. is it worth spending extra $250 for wi-fi version? The USA have gone to wifi-only models now, and we will probably go the same way at a guess. The functionality that the wifi promises to offer is easily worth it, however o...

Whatever you do, don't give an asthmatic your food if you use msg. I personally ended up in hospital many times as a child after exposure to MSG, and even as an adult it will trigger asthma which I haven't really experienced badly for 10-15 years. Not all asthmatics have this issue, but a lot do, an...

If you need a gas burner go to Bunnings and get one of those $13 single burner camping ones that take the disposable gas refills, and get yourself a decent BBQ. Problem solved ;)

Re: Pellet Smokers & Primo Kamados

Bbqs galore have 15kg bags of generic hardwood pellets for $15 a bag. Mix this with your tasty wood pellets so the go further, or use them when running pellet grill at high temps. That cheap enough for ya? I agree with what had been said about size etc, and agree that most kamados (except maybe som...

Re: Pellet Smokers & Primo Kamados

Taking a keen interest in this thread. I have a WSM and am super happy with it, love it in fact, and hence have no desire for a Kamodo type Q unless it was gifted or found etc but am really starting to get a real desire for a set and forget, no fuss pellet pooper style Q. Still a bit green with the...
