Re: Smokai

That's your choice, there is no rule.....but I'd go lightly to start, then work out if you need more.....remember that Smokai is good for a smoker 2m x 2m x 3m.

I will get around to buying some but in the mean time would love to get my fellow bbqer's impression , maybe a score out of 10.

But Bently, the important question is 'do you have a stubby holder'? Can't BBQ properly without one.
That'd be a Coozie? in the US!

Re: Cape Grim shorties

No, "ageing" stops, but freezing smashes the cellular structure, and that is useful for low and slow.

Use charcoal for that, not beads, charcoal lights easy and will stay alight!

Re: Cape Grim shorties

A pic of the ribs I cooked up on the weekend. Don't seem to get the solid smoke ring that I see on some other ribs. But still happy with the result. The smoke ring is a result of the cooking method. Add some nitrate to your rub (only a smidgen of a bee's watsaname), or add some heatbeads to the fir...

Re: Cape Grim shorties

Hard to say from pics, but I'd cut any grey off and I'd brine them....then you should be OK, They will start to oxidize if the seal is broken and that be the smell.....this can happen when opening the carton or just with handling or in you fridge if others are moving bottles etc. I always freeze the...

I also use Jarrah in my offsets...It's easy to get! When I'm doing Chicken, I have a smaller red hot fire so there is next to no smoke when I put a new piece of wood on.

Mine is fine, adds show in the posts and banners, which is a relief, it's depressing when Asian girls don't want to date you and Kogan isn't trying to sell you something! The issue is more likely to be it is serving an advert link that is broken. Could even be PC related, mine is windows and no issu...

There is a website somewhere that helps you with firebox size in relation to cooking chamber size and exhaust and flow control for offsets. I just can remember it right this moment. Maybe do a search through the forums for it. Apart from that it looks good mate! That's Feldons Calculator which he s...
