I use a BBQ guru to control my temps for longer cooks (briskets etc)... Gotta love em!
My Komodo Kamado holds it temp pretty well but I cant check every half hour (especially not on an 11 hour cook...)

We'll keep iy going... And a lot of users come back for the archives... But the new posts and photos really help!! We should have no issues going forward with the photos.... Haha no linkage with FB as it actually does (as Davo pointed out) cause some leakage to FB only.... Anyway all you lurkers... ...

Hows the air leakage on these BBQ's (ie after a cook how quickly does the charcoal stop burning?)

I reckon the weber kettle is great for spit roasting in general, not sure about larger pieces like a suckling pig....

The Q's cook very hot.... Ive got the family Q and noticed at the crosspoint of the outer ring and the centre one its extremely hot... If you just use a 1-turn grill on a baby Q (1 outer ring) I would start directly over the ring and turn the temp down 1 notch... T he only stuff I cook on full high ...

I use the Bunnings high temp mortar... I guess you can us that for the grout as well???
Im not very handy but it seems to work on my tiled Komodo Kamado...
