Re: Large Gas bottles

Hi Paul, Thats a good question and I can't recall anyone connecting their LPG BBQ up to such a Cylinder and I think maybe because it's such a thing that if done wrongly, can be devastating. Household LPG cylinders are quite big and may run on much a higher pressure than a 8.5kg for a BBQ because the...

Do You have your eye on a new BBQ for 2023?

Ok it's getting close to Christmas and the New Year, so are you looking for a new BBQ? Gas, Charcoal, Pellet or any other kind? If it's different to what you have already, what is leading you to change? Be interesting to see what you are wanting. I'd like another Gas BBQ to compliment my 3 kettle gr...

Re: Its Quiet on this Board

Yeah the price of Beef, I think many Countries unless their currency is high, will continue to buy out beef unless Chinese has a change of heart. I haven't BBQ'd much at all this year, all my Webers have been cleaned and stowed into the Garage waiting for our relocation down South. I'm actually gett...

Re: New here

Hi Alice, Welcome to the Aussie BBQ Forum however I'm sad to tell you that there's no community here anymore. This used to be the biggest BBQ forum in Australia but members formed other forums and abandoned this one about 5 years ago due to warring parties. But on saying that, there's a wealth of kn...

Re: Its Quiet on this Board

Nah not really 12 x 7, there's just no interest to get this up and going again. I planted a couple of topics here the other day but it has taken almost a week to get one comment back on it, so I'm not going to bother. I contacted the owner of this forum to close it down, but he has not bothered to a...

G'day Titch,

I wonder if Big Craig got any joy or those vids got him on the right track, he hadn't returned to say it either way.

Cheers

Just a few cook ups in between rain downpours 2022

Yeah it's been a bit like that up here in Sydney and bracing for more La-Nina damp torment but I guess you just gotta get out there and grill when the sun does shine (sometimes) Here's just a few cook ups I've done this year and maybe some from last year.... 20210627_160511.jpg Chicken Drumsticks sm...

Re: New from NSW

Welcome CBH,

Yeah as Lovey says, it's rather quiet here these days but as this forum began and was very active from 2008 till just a few years ago, there's a wealth of knowledge about all kinds of BBQ and food making.

Enjoy the read.

Re: eBay sausage stuffers

I guess the investment depends on how much you're likely to make and eat. it's like everything in life really, you get what you pay for, it's it's just for personal use or family, the cheaper one is possible adequate but if for semi-commercial use, it's an investment to get the best at the most reas...

Re: 2 burner flat plate portable bbq

What are people"s thoughts on the Heatlie bbq's? Dear but look well made. Cheers hjl Heatlie are a good brand hjl, they are high quality Stainless steel and it's probably why they are seen to be expensive. https://www.heatlie.com.au/ As you can see they are more at the commercial end of the BB...

Re: 2 burner flat plate portable bbq

Hji, Not sure if it's any use for you but Weber have recently bought out the Traveller grill which runs the same bbq tubing as the Q2200 but the traveller has a very shallow lid, designed more to grill than any roast type of cooking and it's built on a trolley that folds down and can be pulled along...

Re: Dry Aging meat

Some of the members that were here before used to do some dry aging but usually done this by using a 2nd refrigerator unit than their main household one. I've never bothered with it coz steaks don't last long enough in my place to even contemplate it  What kind of units do you use to do the dry...

So Many Choices of Awesome BBQs

Top of the day to you fellow Aussie BBQers, You remember the days of the earlier BBQ forum, there wasn't much of quality BBQs around and for BBQ enthusiasts such as we were and still are, it came down to mostly what Weber had to offer in their Kettle & Q range, and we also had Beefeater, not to ...
