Re: First loaves turned out ok but does anyone have a good b

Hmm, If you used 7gm packs would be about right, I don't use those prefer fresh or Lowan bulk dried yeast where it's a teaspoon per loaf as a guide but really there's no hard and fast rule and a Jamie Oliver recipe would be using UK conventions I'd guess. This is a great resource for messing about w...

The nature of the beast called bureaucracy, in the end you only have one way to deal with it, very very personal steel caps in the reproductive organs, assuming those you are confronting have any....

And a green one !?!

A few members are gong to be "green" with envy :)

I sort of understand those gas kits for fire ban days but honestly, if it's that hot there are other ways to eat - does it fit the smaller BBQ if you really need to ? I know absolutely nothing about them :)

ah, I like the sound of that. Any reason I cant find a price on a yoder anywhere? :) If you have to ask... ? :) Give the man a call, but if you are serious do be sitting down. From what I've seen worth every cent but quality usually is :) I have to admit been looking a a DC myself for our modest ne...

Yeah....

I stay away from welding because my kid bro puts me to shame every time, so I just get him to do it but yours looks pretty damned good - better than I'd ever do :)

Re: Wobbly Weber Q

Hmm,

I'd be having a chat to where you bought it.

I have a 200, much sturdier than that, something is not right, could be in assembly, could be something broken but I would not be happy.

Re: Interesting review of Maverick wireless thermometers

Hmm, I seem to find Bluetooth to be massively unreliable outside of a couple of meters in various applications, nothing related to this product, just the technology. Seems to me that because it had few engaged supporters it just has not matured. I tend to predict it will just fall by the wayside, ju...

Before you go shelling out didn't someone, might have been UG, point out a while ago that Ikea do SS cutlery drainers that are perfectly ok as charcoal baskets?

I could well be wrong but in the end, it's just a basket :)

Re: Where to buy weber charcoal baskets.

Yeah, they sort of fit ok. As someone suggested in your other thread just keep an eye out, Gumtree, hard rubbish, guarantee a 57cm will turn up for $0 to maybe $100 :) I try not to look at all the accessories, especially being currently self-employed in a very big downturn industry but they are hard...

Re: Weber Q Rotisserie anyone using it? got a probe sorted?

:)

There are just so many variables Tas, like the height of the rack, where you impale the roast, what the rack is sitting on etc :)

It's sort of like looking for space for leftovers in the fridge and finding you spaced the shelves wrong :) (I just had that problem :) )

Re: Oh...My...God!

:) Slowly I'm getting a picture of how you are laying out your fire, and understanding that you do not have the baskets with this kettle. They are hardly a necessity, a lot around here just ditch them anyway but when starting with a kettle they do put the fire(s) in a distinct place in the cavity. T...
