Bacon and donuts are a winning combo so I imagine wrapping the whole thing is pure gold! Just drizzle a little maple syrup over the top an you're set! eeew... good point... I get mine from some bushland... but I guess people do walk their dogs through there...

haha yeah, since the drama on Friday the fridge has been running without complaint... Not before I had to throw out everything in the freezer that had defrosted and some of the stuff in the fridge that had gotten too warm... I just throw the Banksia straight on the fire, I don't bother cleaning them or anything... just a couple of quick shakes and bangs to give any critters living inside a chance to escape before being sent to a firey death :twisted: I cooked a 2.8kg shoulder on the weekend, with the temp kept between 2...

Well the pork turned out fine and I was even able to convince the guests there was no need for burgers and to just eat the pork :D Didn't get a final shot as most of it was devoured as soon as I put it on the table (there's some left overs in the fridge :p ) Here is a shot of it just before I wrappe...

I didn't get a probe in it but there were definitely one or two spots that felt above 4 degrees... and not cold... Willing to risk it myself but would hate to make my mates sick. it up anyway but still serving them burgers. Decided I will cook the pork regardless... They can try a bit of pork at the...

NIce! I'm not the biggest fan of smoked salmon but the girlfriend is and my brother has been asking me if I plan on cooking any up as he's a bit of a fan... Guessing it could still be done in the barrel of the Hark?

Some mighty fine uses of brisket there Bucc! Can't beat a good pie in winter and brisket for breakfast is just living the dream!

Got people coming round for dinner Sunday so picked up a 2.8kg pork shoulder from the butcher yesterday lunch time. I did similar the other night... got my charcoal going and walked inside to prep some burgers... should have stayed outside a little longer to make sure the coal really go going... Didn't really catch so I had burgers and no fire... ended up doing them inside... was sooo disappointed with the end re...

It's the same thing. If the stuff from the Indian spice store is too hot you might need to look at grabbing some generic supermarket stuff or head to another spice merchant.

My local spice dealer has a huge variety of chili powders, ranging in different heat levels.
