pls help in selection

Definitely go to the demos and check them both out to see what you like. Like gumb says there are ways to make the expensive pellets go much further, and it works really well. Also look out for group buys of pellets as you'll save $5 or more per bag if you get in on that. My father in law has the Ge...

pls help in selection

If it helps, I get my 10 year old to fire up my pellet grill (same as the one you were watching in the videos) which is "flick a switch and press one button" type of easy, and then my wife helps him put the meat on .... While I'm at work .... They are my BBQ slaves .... If they can do it, yours can ...

Alright I can prob get someone to collect within a week or two if that's ok with you. Can take 2 bags but if nobody claims the other two I would grab them as well.

I was going to get the Crockett for camping but if the 300 is same size it looks way better Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If you want to go camping, then DC is probably your answer. Runs off 12 volts, so a secondary deep cycle battery and you're away. Mate I think the word I should have used w...

Which size GMG Bowie or Boone ?

I thought Bunnings pellets were for heating only. Dunno if I would trust them with food. You might have been fine up to now but only takes one bag with some nasty stuff in it to make people sick.

Re: Which size GMG Bowie or Boone ?

Also have a look a the GMG facebook page - this question gets asked almost every day on that page. Americans seem to say to get the Bowie, everyone else says the Boone. I have a feeling this is due to the much lower cost of pellets over there.

Which size GMG Bowie or Boone ?

I have the Boone and agree with what others have said about its deceptively large capacity. In addition you have a gasser you could use to finish things like wings and ribs on if you need grilling temps. My comment relates to your desire for cooking pizzas and the like on it. I find that at higher t...

Re: Kickstarter: True wireless meat thermometer...

It's nothing to do with your wifi mate, the iGrill connects via Bluetooth & unless you stay very close to it you will continuously drop out. Far out...yeah, people use wifi and bluetooth interchangeably these days for reasons beyond my comprehension. If its true wifi then you can get an extender, i...

Re: Local downdraft available?

I bought mine from Don as well - shipping cost way more than the actual unit. When it arrived I realised a year 10 metal work student could make it in a single class. If you know anyone like that, hit them up to make you one. Alternatively, find a local metal supplier to get some sheet aluminium and...

Re: Manufacturing in China

Thanks mate, i figured as much. Might have to try getting things done here first and keep the $$ in the country - sounds like a much easier proposition, if slightly more expensive.

Manufacturing in China

Anyone have any direct experience with taking something to a manufacturing company either here or in China and having it built to specs in volume and shipped over to Australia? I'm considering my options for a few bbq related items that either can't be obtained here or can't be imported at a reasona...
