I am far from a Pizza expert I saw a demo of the Weber Q cooking Pizza and they were great. My Webber Q I preheat on high for 20min and the temp is usually around the 250-300 mark, I will double check in a few days time They were using a bought base. I thought it would have referred to dispatching the cock.

Ive only ever had it pickled it tasted like corned beef not gamey at all.
Did you pickle it?

I would have thought it would be pretty well seasoned with salt,lemon zest,greek oregano,garlic,paprika and sumac before it went on.
Any further seasoning would be in the tzatziki ,skordalia or salad that you served it with.
