Happy New Year to all.

Time to get cooking and sharing, that's what will make it the best year yet.

Re: Greetings All

If you're getting started and want to get the most bang for your buck theres a few options. I use a KMart hooded 6 burner, a Bunnings Kettle and a ProQ. Can't say enough good things about the ProQ. For about a grand you could get all of these shopping wisely. Learn, burn and then upgrade. BUT Qualit...

Re: I hate Home theatre equipment !!

You probably need a teenager. They can get all sorts of stuff working that just makes me swear.

I'll send one of mine, you have to feed him. :D :D

Re: Hello from a Hungry Man :)

Hungryman, that is a spectacular looking use of a 44 gallon drum. Can you do a bit of a photo essay on it showing the insides, how it works and a bit of a description of how it was put together? I'd be interested to see the other creations also. I can see a project coming on. Welcome to the forum. T...

What about leaving the probe out of the steak by the thickness of the lid and having the light on the outside.

That may work

Re: Free SteakChamp - Double Pack worth $98 ( Limited Stock

Mine arrived and I'm impressed with the look of the packaging and the feel of the probes. Unfortunately, I won't ever get to try them as they are now a gift for my hard to buy for brother in law for Christmas. Oh well at least they're off to a good home. Now I'm relying on those of you who have them...

Re: Chook - Hot & Fast in the Pro Q

I do it like that often, but use an aluminium drip tray if the chook is marinated and gets too many flare ups and smelly smoke.

Re: NBN - Who has it and how good is it ?

Using the speed test app the installers recommended I'm getting just under 26Mbps download and 5.6 Mbps upload using WiFi. I'm connected via a rooftop antenna not cables.

Re: NBN - Who has it and how good is it ?

I've got it on the Far South Coast and really liking it. Three teenage boys place big demands on the internet and when we first hooked it up we had four devices streaming you tube at the same time and no buffering so I was wrapped. Got a pretty good deal for less than $100 a month we get unlimited i...

Re: Black wattle???

Be careful using Black Wattle, it burns very hot and can crack a cast iron slow combustion stove top. One of the local bakeries used it in their wood fired ovens for years because you didn't need a lot to get a good heat so its worth a try but take little steps rather than find out the hard way. Sap...

Re: Fornetto smoker at bunnings?

Haven't seen one at our local yet. Look OK but if there's no water bowl you'll lose a rack when doing a long low and slow. Need it.

Go for the ProQ

Re: Pro Q vs Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker

I've got the ProQ and can't say enough good things about it. Does the same job but with the two stackers as opposed to the one big one it offers a bit more versatility. I use mine nearly every weekend and have had great after sales service. Had a look at the Bunnings version, the description didn't ...

Re: Chickens and extras

Never seen chooks done side ways on a roti before, makes sense when space is at a premium.

How did they go for balance?
