Re: Perth Meat Suppliers
Thanks Bucs and Bob - will give the Beef Shed in Malaga a crack. If they also have proper Boston Butt then it will be worth the drive! If not, it will have to be Maddington and dropping Buc's name :D You won't find any Boston Butt there. Will have to go see the Beef Shop boys about that, or speak t...

Re: What Did You Cook Part 11 - January 1 2015
Grilled 4 racks of ribs and two chunks of beef in an offset the other day but didn't take pics. The ribs were sensationally meaty, from The Beef Shop in Maddington if anyone is hunting quality. Need a break from BBQ, so I made one of my favourites, Singers Curry Laksa with chicken and fried tofu. ht...

Re: Perth Meat Suppliers
The Beef Shop, Maddington. The boys there told me that recently they have been getting good whole briskets in from a local source. 2/2043 Albany Hwy, Maddington WA 6109 Call Russell on 9452 8400 and tell him Buccs told you to , that way he knows you want American style whole brisket. Tell him that t...

Re: Advice on Hibachi Style Griller
I would purchase one from the standpoint that it is a more intimate and fun way of cooking and socialising, and the result for that style of cooking is superior to the BGE/Keg/Kamado cookers. None of the above are really Hibachi, BTW. The Americans bastardized the Japanese language so nowadays even ...

Re: What Did You Cook Part 11 - January 1 2015
Got some Wagyu grade 9 annoyingly marketed as "Karubi", navel plate beef. It seems Aussie producers are diving right in to the BS marketing of hokey practises too. Anyway, good quality beef. http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x370/IBuccaneer/DSC_0180_zpsafecqqfm.jpg Did a little test run ...
