Ahh, that's a decent drive from Mitcham. Although I was accidently out that way yesterday whilst getting lost trying to find the start of the stupid ring road. (I took a short cut, that wasnt)

It'll be fine. The cylinders sit in those racks a servos all the time. Lpg tanks sit on the back of hot forklifts and in the sun and they never explode.

I agree with the positive comments about the grates, but just make sure they're hot first. And if you get some, take a pic, because they'll never be that shiny ever again.

I can't help much other that say yes, Weber will be able to sell you the correct grate for it. Someone else here may be able to recognize what model it is if you can't see the serial number.

Haven't done a snake so can't help there, but I've always had enough in the baskets to begin with. And if I have had to add beads, I can lift the grill and balance it on the rim of the kettle. Go the pellet grill and some crappy 4 burner from bunnings. I'm sure you'll end up using the pellet grill more, and the gasser is there as a backup.
And if you can get to demo's, then excellent. Best way to test drive stuff and decide.
