Do you mean 'Mac and cheese', or is it some type of recipe for a cannibal dish that you're after   ?

Re: Which bbq master would you like to be taught by?

Roel Westra aka Pitmaster X.
I love how he does comparisons between different techniques and methods on the same food and he isn't afraid to admit that he's made a mistake on camera. His accent is very cool too.

Re: Do you find it hard to maintain low temp in the weber kettle?

I don't have one, but how are you using your S n S, are you using the minion method? I have used the snake method in the past with success and I was able to keep the temps to the 100-110°C.

Is it possible to leave a bullet smoker 8-10 hours without checking up on it and still maintaining temperature?
Absolutely, that's what they're designed for, and superb at.

Re: Review - Dusty Moose 47cm Charcoal Smoker - A smoker made for Australians

So is the dusty moose better in any way than the Weber Smokey mountain?? I’m trying to understand why the Weber is almost 3 x more expensive? Do you mean 'is the Weber Smokey Mountain any better than the Dusty Moose?' Weber has been around for ages, they designed the product which has since been wi...

Re: Temperature Control Update 2

Okay Smoker stopped smoking! After 2 hrs; oven 223f and meat 106. Looks as though I will need to add more charcoal at some stage. I will be disappointed if I have to as I would really like to run for 7-8 hrs unattended when I get things dialled in. Ken How many briquettes did you use in your pile? ...

Re: Temperature Control

Guys Started my first cook on the Dusty about 30 minutes ago. Will post photos of the process later. The first issue I have is temperature. Do I believe the hood thermometer or my itronics probe? The probe reads 210f but the hood reads 280f. At present the meat reads 132f. Forgive the imperial meas...

Re: Question for those who use Pellet cookers

I have a GMG pellet pooper and I haven't had a power outage during any of my cooks thus far, touch wood. I am looking into getting a back up power supply, but haven't progressed past asking a few questions and doing some research. I would shy away from a UPS, unless it has a really big battery, or i...

Re: Photos

You can upload them directly to the post, they just have to be reasonably small in size (Kb not Mb). Underneath the white square where you compose your post, there are 3 buttons 'Save draft', 'Preview' and 'Submit'. Underneath those buttons is a section with a a tab that says 'Options' and underneat...

Re: Only 4 posts in Portable section

Ok I get why they have been moved and fair enough, but I liked it as it was almost a dedicated Weber Q thread. That's true, but there was a heap of other posts in there that weren't, and a lot pertained to BBQ's that weren't even portable. Is there a new one for Weber Q's or do I have to search thr...

Re: Only 4 posts in Portable section

Yes, It was me, a bit of early spring cleaning :D . I moved most of the posts to a different area, mainly in relation to the fuel type, whilst some were better suited to the 'What did you cook' area, some into 'Gadgets' and some I deleted (the ones without any info with broken photo links). My reaso...

Re: How do you setup your charcoal for indirect cooking?

Hey guys, im having trouble maintaining my weber kettle temperature around the 225-250F mark. The common method ive tried is filling up the one of standard charcoal chambers it comes with. However after a couple of hours the temp starts to drop below 200. I always have to refuel. I don't know if yo...

Re: Weber Q with beads

The problem you'll have using the gas Q with beads are height and ventilation. The char Q doesn't have the gas burner taking up a lot of the internal space under the grill where you'll want to put the beads. If you want to do some slow cooks, I'll take it you mean long/low & slow, you'll need enough...
