Re: tuscany garden oven

by the way, you can get a terrific pizza by using one of these electric pizza makers: This is the one that i use myself http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk181/moy71/pizza.jpg This is what i can achieve. Not bad for a little appliance huh?? to be fair, i did hit the top and sides with a butane torc...

Re: tuscany garden oven

personally i would not consider that. i would think it would be not much (if any) improvement on your kitchen oven. the secret to good pizza is the ability to reach very high temperatures. if you haven't already done it, i suggest get a pizza stone. single best piece of equipment you can buy. if mon...

Corn Oil

Hello all. As the title suggests, I am after corn or maize all. Key ingredient (apparently) in making a chicago style deep dish pan pizza. however, i am at a loss as to where it can be found. woolies and coles don't stock it. ebay does but the suppliers appear a little too vague for lack of a better...

Re: Maximus Portable Wood Fired Pizza Oven

Tonight for dinner we had pizza (again). Flavour wise, I think tonight's batch was the best yet. The main reason was a slight alteration to the dough recipe. I've been trying methods to fit larger (if squarer) pizzas in the Max and every now and then they come out right, like the salami one below. ...

Re: Fornetto Pizza oven

I was debating on getting the 70x70 + glass window on the door, or the bigger model but in the end, my practical side won. I mean a bigger oven would have been nice, but it meant slightly more wood, slightly more heating time, floor space, and more importantly more things to manage cook-wise. Can yo...

Re: Fornetto Pizza oven

may i ask why you chose the Maximus over the Pizza Party oven? thanks in advance. The Pizza Party oven is not available in Australia. I contacted Pizza Party directly and was pleasantly surprised that they were happy to send me one directly from Italy. The price was competitive so i ordered one. Ve...

Re: How to cook safely with lump?

count me in as another water douser. granted i use heatbeads and not lump, and i reuse when cooking high heat only (never low and slow).

i dont see any difference at all in reusing them as such. seems like such an awful waste.

just my 2cents.

...another update

Weber tech came back this morning to install a new set of manifold and hose. Sadly it still did not fix the over heating issue. Around noon, I got a call from the same tech advising that I will get a brand new one instead!!! They will call next week to arrange a convenient time to come and pickup up...
