Re: Replace Wood Handles on Weber Kettle
What part sounds like a joke? I don't like the wood handles, I've got replacement plastic handles, and want to get rid of the wood ones which are apparently very popular with Weber enthusiasts. And for what it's worth, I've just woken up and have a bunch of messages from people on Gumtree wanting th...

Re: Replace Wood Handles on Weber Kettle
Following up on my original post, I decided I would rather the newer plastic handles, and amazingly Weber have sent some new ones out to me. Going to stick the wood ones up on Gumtree since they seem popular, but does anyone know how much I should ask for them? I attached a pic to show the condition...

Re: Pork Ribs Membrane Question
Sorry guys haven't checked this thread until today. The butcher was called Top Chop at Garden City Shopping Centre down next to Coles. The ribs are fantastic and they have heaps of other good BBQ cuts as well.

Re: Pork Ribs Membrane Question
Thanks for the advice, I cooked them yesterday and they ended up being on the Weber for 6 hours and were falling off the bone and the meat was soft like butter and melted in the mouth. Best ribs I've ever eaten although next time I'll probably take them off a little earlier if only so they can be cu...

Pork Ribs Membrane Question
Hi guys, I've been searching Brisbane for decent pork ribs to do my first ribs on my OTS. Everywhere I've been they were literally bones and only a tiny bit of meat between them, until I had given up yesterday and did some Christmas shopping and accidently came across a set I liked the look of so I'...

Re: Replace Wood Handles on Weber Kettle
I didn't realise the wood handles were so popular. I figured I would swap them because this was in such mint condition of I added a thermometer and replaced the wood handles with new you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between it and a brand new OTS. Happy to leave the wood handles then, the...

Replace Wood Handles on Weber Kettle
Hi guys, after giving my kettle away a few years ago I've picked up another one second hand in mint condition in time for Christmas, however it has the old style wood handles on it and I would rather replace them with the new look ones. Anyone know if they are a straight swap with the new style hand...

Re: Grubby Weber Q
I've got this problem too trying to clean my Q320 up to sell ready for the release of the Q3200 on the 1st of Aug. I've got the lid back to brand new with the smoke stain remover, but the base is full of baked on crap I can't seem to move, it's almost like concrete! Even with a pressure washer that...

Re: Smoking Box in Q320
I usually smoke in my OTS but thought I would give it a go in the Q and see how it went. You were right about the cast iron not heating up enough it's only just now starting to smoke properly. Next time I'll put the box in when I'm pre-heating and then add the chips when I put the lamb on and hopefu...

Re: Smoking Box in Q320
It's cooking at 230. I was going to get the Weber one when I grabbed the Q but I bought the cast iron instead because I figured it would last longer and could take more of a beating than the thin looking stainless steel one.

Smoking Box in Q320
Hi guys, I sold my Baby Q on the weekend and grabbed a Q320. I also went to BBQs Galore and grabbed a cast iron smoker box and tonight I've got a leg of lamb on and was hoping the smoker box and soaked chips would add a bit of smoke to it but half an hour in and there is no smoke at all. I've got th...

Re: Chicken spare ribs in Brisbane?
I went into my local butcher less than 2 minutes drive away to get some lamb, and something caught my eye in the corner and it turns out they were marinated chicken spare ribs but named something totally different. The guy said when I asked him last time he had no idea what I was talking about but o...

Re: Chicken spare ribs in Brisbane?
Pattons at Springwood would only order them in for bulk quantities, and seeing as I only want 2kg max they won't do it.
I'll try Jack Purcells at Virginia this week they are pretty big they might be able to do it.

Re: Chicken spare ribs in Brisbane?
I'll be over Springwood way on Tuesday picking up some stuff from IKEA so I'll drop into Pattons and see if they can organise some ribs for me.
