Ribolator

I've been using the ribolator for about 1.5years now. Does a great job with ribs. Yes the cleaning is a bit of a pain and yes I have tried the dishwasher. My preferred method is a paint scraper whilst it is turning over a hot fire. Quick and easy. Well worth the investment Sent from my iPad using Ta...

Rotisserie and the performer

Picked the rotisserie up late tonight and off to the market in the morning to pick up some birds to roast tomorrow morning--- Set it up tonight and... What the hell... It's got the wrong style plug - not an aus plug. Going to go back in the morning to ask about it. Also out of interest how much noi...

Nesting birds

Meant to post this one a few weeks back when the magpie nesting season started but have been somewhat sidetracked. Got home one afternoon to find my Maverick unit laying on the ground, minus the thin wire bracket that usually keeps it hanging from the kettle. Further investigation found the "fo...

Diggers Charcoal at Bunnings

Seems this is now a non-stocked line, at least here in WA. Anyone heard about this? Will be checking Masters shortly to see if they are still carrying it :(

Do a cold run first to make sure u get full ribolator rotation without interference ;)

It's a bugger to sort out when everything's up to full temp and pieces don't fit properly

Dishwasher recommendation

F&P, 2 drawer. Works a treat. Good if only 1 or 2 of you and not using huge amount of dishes, no need to fill up whole unit.

Pan in or Pan out?

My tray of water generally lasts the 8 or so hours of my cook. Not sure why you would need to top up every hour? I also align the vents over the water tray and peer through with a torch, so if it did need a top up I would use a funnel through the vents ;)

WEBER KETTLE ROTISSERIE ? are they worth getting ???

How would a stand alone rotisserie for a similar price or slightly more compare to the webber one? I have thought about getting the webber one but then realised if I got a stand alone version I could cook more meat at the same time.... Woot! that's what you have multiple webers for. One for the rib...

Re: WEBER KETTLE ROTISSERIE ? are they worth getting ???

I was pretty happy with my knock-up job and it was fine doing standard roasts. I wasn't bothered by the not-quite-there fit, the gaps here and there, my roasts were coming up nicely. When i purchased the rib-o-lator i soon saw the shortcomings of my backyard job. After some to-ing and fro-ing i bit ...
